In compliance with the existing Greek legislation and the international regulatory framework of FATCA, credit institutions operating in Greece, including TC Ziraat Bank AS Athens Central Branch, have the obligation to identify their clients, who are considered as " US persons ". TC ZIRAAT BANKASI AS Athens Central Branch is obliged to collect and submit to the Greek tax authorities specific information about its clients who open accounts with TC Ziraat Bank AS Athens Central Branch from 1 January 2017 onwards and its clients who maintain specific accounts on 31 December 2016. This obligation stems from Greece's participation in the Automatic Information Exchange System in accordance with the OECD's Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
